Step 2: Defined LinkedIn Target Market

Not all markets are perfectly suited for this type of campaign. 

It is important to define a campaign where we believe the target spends a reasonable amount of time on LinkedIn. Think of the difference between a dentist and a digital marketing agency owner. One might login to LinkedIn twice a year, the other lives and breathes online.

This step should be pre-defined, it might be experimental for the first few months as we decide what works and what does not, to hone in on a successful strategy.

Step 1: LinkedIn Profile Optimization

Great profiles convert better. This should sound obvious.

We use your profile (or the profile of one of your employees) for our lead generation campaign, so it is important to make it look professional; easily searchable; one that reads well and communicates clearly your value to our target.

This step might take a week.

Step 3: Create A Messaging Sequence

This is used later as a script for the conversation with your prospects.

Our writing team hand crafts messaging to be used and tested against the target. Depending on the campaign this might include an email drip, or social copy, or even long form articles.

This takes roughly one week from the start of your campaign. It normally requires some back and forth and your feedback here will be critical. This also take somes experimentation and iteration over time.

Step 4: Set the Campaign Live

Depending on the state of your LinkedIn profile, we may have to warm up the profiles. We cannot start blasting a 3000 connection request per month campaign out on a brand new account with 2 connections.

Our team will keep you completely in the loop on proper account activity. We expect to be live and generating leads within 2 weeks from signup, possibly sooner.

What's involved with the daily connection requests?

All connection requests to people who match your target audience profile. Each connection request comes with a custom note.

How does the messaging sequence work?

Each new connection will be pulled into a 5 or 7-touch messaging sequence.

  • The messaging sequence will be custom to your campaign.
  • Includes a brief introductory note, a couple follow up notes, and an email as well.
  • The sequence will exist only for those connections that have not responded, once they respond it is your job to pick up the conversation >> you have a new lead!
  • From the messaging sequence we expect to see 10-20 good leads come through per account each month.

How does the follow up for silent contacts work?

If the prospect is still silent, we add him to the email drip campaign and he starts receiving our messages until he unsubscribes, or replies to us. With this campaign, we also set up social content to be pushed out to your LinkedIn profile.
